This relay is configured as active-HIGH: GPIO HIGH = relay ON, GPIO LOW = relay OFF. The app forces the configured GPIO LOW whenever the Fan Player service starts.
Cold-boot safety: changing this setting does not edit the privileged boot file. Keep the matching gpio=N=op,dl line in /boot/firmware/config.txt if you want the relay held OFF as early as possible during boot.
